We offer free community services including: 'Toddler Time' a Friday morning session for young children, 'Remember This?' themed talks and object handling brought to care homes / isolated groups and Braintree Museum Holiday Club for children aged 5–11 during school holidays.
We offer a range of community services including:
- 'Remember This?' Reminiscence sessions are free, local and nostalgic talks or object handling for people who are less able to visit the museum. This includes care homes, bereavement groups and meet ups for isolated people. The duration of the session is 45- 60 minutes.
- Toddler Time: A free session at the museum to create memories, share new experiences and connect at the museum. 'Toddler Time' runs every Friday mornings at 10am for approximately one hour.
- Braintree Museum Holiday Club supports and inspires the wellbeing of local primary school children from low-income families during school holidays through art, cultural and physical activities all through engagement with our collections and history. The holiday club must be booked in advance, days are free to attend and include breakfast and a hot lunch for each (limited spaces available).
