At Freedom Leisure (Halstead) we want the local community we serve to have fun, feel welcome, included and empowered to live healthy lives. We provide a range of free or low cost community activities across our sites for all ages to enjoy including: sporting memories group, seated exercise, and many more.

As a not-for-profit charitable leisure trust, we provide the following community activities at Freedom Leisure (Halstead):
- Seated Exercise (Tuesday 10-11am and 11am-12pm) a low impact exercise class where you can go at your own pace. Cost per session is £3.75
- Sporting Memories Group (Wednesdays - 10am to 12pm). A free club to assist older people to make new friends, reminisce about memories of sport, play games, take part in quizzes, and participate in fun, inclusive activities together. Carers, family, and friends are most welcome – Dementia Friendly.

Sporting Memories are also seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help run friendly group sessions for older adults. You will use sports-themed stories, quizzes, and photos to spark conversation, tackle loneliness, and support individuals facing memory challenges.
