Cast A Thought

We are a CIC providing a programme of fishing activities to act as a tool to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and adults. Working in partnership with communities, organisations and the NHS.At Cast a Thought, we are dedicated to creating meaningful and lasting positive impacts on the mental health and well-being of individuals while fostering a sense of community and environmental consciousness. Our primary goal is to harness the therapeutic power of fishing activities to promote mental health and well-being across all age groups.

Catch and Connect - for 11-17 year olds.  Over 8 weeks we will exploes your health and wellbeing through fishing and interactive sessions.  Connect with peets, learn valuable skills and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of angling.  Starting May 2026 at Little Easton Manor, Dunmow.

HAF programme - programme in partnership with Essex Activate providing sessions for those eligible for free school meals. These sessions are run February half term, Easter, May half term, Summer, October half term.
