Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub - Prehab Therapy
Prehabilitation or prehab means preparing for treatment or surgery in whatever time you may have available before the intervention happens. Our team of therapy students can offer an individualised programme of support, to work on your physical activity, strength and conditioning before your treatment. They can also advise on equipment and aids that may be beneficial in the early stages of recovery and strategies around pacing and pain management to make your recovery as quick as possible. Sessions run across the week and are charged at £15 per session.
The team will adapt your programme activities based on your personal needs. Undergoing prehabilitation can help you feel more in control of your health and achieve better long-term health outcomes.
To access this service, email: healthwellbeingcare@essex.acx.uk or raise a referral through Frontline and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss your needs.
