Age Well East: Friendship Groups

Age Well East: Friendship Groups provide companionship and social opportunities to anyone aged over 60 who is feeling lonely. The groups are dementia friendly and attendees can take part in fun activities, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and socialise with other people. Groups run on Mersea Road, Stanway, Brightlingsea and Corringham and some have a nominal entrance fee.

Age Well East also run a Digital Friendship group online via Microsoft Teams every Thursday at 6pm-7pm. Attendees will need access to Wi-Fi or data and the use of a computer, tablet or smart phone. To enjoy our online social group for light-hearted conversation, laughs and the occasional quiz contact us by phone: 03003733333, or email: enquiries@agewelleast.org.uk. If you need help setting up Teams, please let us know as our digital friends' volunteers may be able to help. 

Who can use this service?

These in-person groups are open for anyone aged over 60.

The online Digital Friendship Group is open to anyone aged 18+ living in Essex and Thurrock.
