Age Well East: Friendship Groups
Age Well East: Friendship Groups provide companionship and social opportunities to anyone aged over 60 who is feeling lonely. The groups are dementia friendly and attendees can take part in fun activities, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and socialise with other people. Groups run on Mersea Road, Stanway, Brightlingsea and Corringham and some have a nominal entrance fee.

Age Well East also run a Digital Friendship group online via Microsoft Teams every Thursday at 6pm-7pm. Attendees will need access to Wi-Fi or data and the use of a computer, tablet or smart phone. If you need help setting up Teams, please let us know as our digital friends' volunteers may be able to help.
Who can use this service?
These in-person groups are open for anyone aged over 60.
The online Digital Friendship Group is open to anyone aged 18+ living in Essex and Thurrock.
