Braintree Council: Energy Advice and Handyman Team

We offer a free service for residents aged 65 and over or vulnerable owner occupiers and private tenants to help keep residents safe and well. The service does not cover plumbing or electrical work and does not include gardening, furniture removal, decorating or general maintenance. In terms of helping keep residents safe, warm and well, measures include, provision of grab/stair rails, keysafes, solar lights, fixing trip hazards, radiator bleeding, trickle vents, hot water tank jacket and trickle vents.
